Where: Gaiety Theatre
When: Thursday 6th September 2018, 7pm
Why: Because our guest speaker Steve Bartlett is kinda s**t hot
Introducing ‘Gefachella Sessions’, our brand new Gefachella side-hustle. Each quarter we’ll be offering up an intimate keynote session, complete with a guest speaker that you actually give a s**t about.
Back in March we held the very first Gefachella event, where 100 island founders came together for an afternoon of information, knowledge sharing and education, with a little bit of party thrown in for good measure.
After analysing the feedback from our inaugural event, the stand out feedback was that Island businesses are looking for more education, knowledge and guidance on representing themselves and their businesses online, especially through social media.
We asked businesses what topics they would most like to learn at the next event, resounding feedback centred around the following;
- Social Media
- Digital Marketing Strategies
- Managing time, taking action, getting stuff done
- Creating online communities
We believe that the Isle of Man deserves the best, so in collaboration with our event partners; Department for Enterprise and Peggy + Lewis we have secured the CEO of the world’s number one social media agency to speak at our next Gefachella event.
Meet Steve Bartlett…
The 25 year old CEO and co-founder of Social Chain Group; Europe’s largest social media and digital publishing house, consisting of two companies; Social Chain and Media Chain. Social Chain Group is renowned for delivering groundbreaking social campaigns for some of the most exciting global brands, including; Nike, Asos, FIFA, Amazon, Coca Cola, Spotify, Revolution Bars and Apple Music – to name a few.
Since its onset, the group has developed a digital publishing house, Media Chain which now owns some of the largest media assets online, reaching over 400 million people through a series of online brands.
Starting his empire at just 18 after dropping out of university, the business is now in five locations worldwide; Manchester, London, Berlin, Munich and New York. Steve has become an award winning entrepreneur, being voted by Econsultancy as the ‘Most Influential Industry Figure’ in 2018.
Over the coming year, Steve is already lined up to speak at;
HSMAI Europe – Oslo, September 24th 2018
BBC’s Evening of Disruption – Media City, October 31st, 2018
Digital World Marketing Forum – New York, November 8th 2018
The Juice Plus Company – Barcelona, November 10th 2018
Northern Business Exhibition – Manchester, March 12th 2019
Sounds s**t hot tbh, tell me more…
On Thursday 6th September at 19:00, Steve will join us to host the very first ‘Gefachella: Session’; sharing his great knowledge for social media and upcoming trends. Steve has situated himself at the forefront of the industry and is often the one reporting on upcoming trends even before their adoption.
Wait a minute, do I need to be one of those entrepreneurial folk to come to this?
Not at all, this event is open to one and all. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, founder, marketeer, student or just think Steve is kinda hot, you’re more than welcome.
Steve is often asked why he does it. Unlike a lot of his entrepreneurial peers, it has very little to do with projecting his image into the public sphere. He does this to prove to his 18 year old self that it can be done. You can pull yourself from some of the darkest places, both mentally and physically. If you have the right drive and determination, it can be done.
Steve wants to inspire a generation to overcome their fear and negativity, and to believe that they can too.
