Isle of Man Gin Fest 2018

Where: Laxey Pavillion
When: Thu 29, Fri 30, Sat 31 March 2018
Why: Because, gin!

Oh hey there fellow gin drinkers! 👋

Following on from last year’s overwhelmingly successful Gin Social event at Noa Bakehouse, our boozy collective of Gef the Mongoose, Roots Bev Co. and lewislewis made the crazy – and somewhat gin-fuelled – decision to expand, and launch a full-on, three-day bank holiday Easter weekend extravaGINza for 2018!

Thu 29th March

“Swing When You’re Ginning”

Launch Party

Tickets: £60

We’re kick-starting the proceedings with an exclusive launch party on Thursday 29th March from 19:00 ’til midnight, when we’ll throw open the doors to IOM Gin Fest 2018 with ‘Swing When You’re Ginning’, a civilised A.F. evening of food, swing music and bucket tonnes of gin.

Tickets for Thursday are priced at £60 each and include;

  • Three-course sharing menu from The Supper Club
  • A G&T each from our festival partners The Fynoderee Distillery and Seven Kingdom Distillery
  • Live music from swing heroes ‘Lava’
  • Your very own gin balloon glass to take home with you at the end of the night

On Friday 30th & Saturday 31st, the festivities start at 14:00 and go on ’til midnight on both dates.

The weekend boasts a booming line up of homegrown musical talent, talks from industry experts, a Tonic Bar from Roots Bev Co., the Virtual Ginstanity cocktail bar by lewislewis, gin inspired beers from Bottle Monkey, a guaranteed INSANE food pop-up from The Alpine Cafe, an exciting new product launch from Foraging Vintners and of course, ALL OF THE GIN!

Tickets for each day are priced at £30 individually and include;

  • Entrance to the festival arena
  • Two gin & tonic tokens
  • Your very own gin balloon glass to take home with you at the end of the night
  • And a whole load of entertainment!

Friday 30th: Acoustic sets from local legends Kate Clague, Chris Gray and Lee Brooks. Headlining the day are local four piece ‘Voodoo Bandits’, an alternative rock group who touch on funk, dance, hip-hop and pop. Local DJ Tom Doyle closes the night, with his unique blend of house / funk / soul and disco beats.

Saturday 31st: We’ve an acoustic set from the incredible Mae Challis and the modern Manx madness of Biskee Brisht; before turning up the volume and welcoming house and techno beats from both DJ Tom Crawley and the ‘UNDRGRND’ DJ collective of Tom Doyle, Peter Kennaugh and Chris Whorral. Our headline act is newly renamed ‘Foxtrap’ – nee Baltic States – a three-piece indie/electronic band, who blend techno and haunting electronica with hypnotic, soaring vocal melodies.

“But I don’t like gin”

That’s ok! Whilst the only spirit available will be gin, you can still join the fun and festivities…

Beer

Our favourite booze chimp, Bottle Monkey will be sneaking in a range of craft beers, including the aptly named “Mother’s Ruin Pale Ale” from Black Iris Brewery.

Fizz

Foraging Vintners will be launching an exciting new product with us at the festival, more to follow… They’ll also be serving up their signature ‘Rhubarb Fizz’ and house favourite cocktail the ‘Rhugo’.

Cocktails

The lewislewis team will be on hand with a range of awesome A.F. cocktails… Menu to follow.

Wine

Red. White. Nuff said.

“Am I going to need my wellies?”

Whilst the weather looks set to be a little beastly… #beastfromtheeastpart3

You’ve absolutely no need to panic!!

Gin Fest is an indoor festival, with our Main Stage being placed inside the Pavilion’s main hall.

The area directly outside the Pavilion is a part of the licensed venue, so if the sun is shining, you’re absolutely welcome to enjoy it!

Wellies totally optional.

“I can’t make it anymore, can I get a refund?”

Unfortunately all tickets are non-refundable, we would encourage any guest that is unable to make the event to list their tickets for sale in the official ‘IOM Gin Fest 2018’ Facebook event page.
