#1 Grand Tour
Mark is one of only a select few to have worn all three Grand Tour leaders jerseys, the Maillot jaune (Le Tour de France), the Maillot amarillo (La Veulta a Espana) and the Maglia rosa (Giro d’Italia).
#2 BBC Sports Personality of the Year
In winning the 2011 edition of the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Mark joined an elite list including David Beckham and Jonny Wilkinson as previous winners
#3 British Cycling Achievements
In an incredible year for Cav, he not only won Sport Personality of the Year but achieved a list of accolades unrivaled in British sporting history in becoming: the first British rider to win Points Classification at Le Tour de France; the first British rider to win the World Road Race Championship since 1965 and the British National Road Race Champion.
#4 Le Tour
The following year he became the first rider ever to win the final stage of Le Tour on four consecutive occasions, winning in the famed Rainbow Jersey of the Road Race World Champion.
#5 Married a dream!
In 2013, Mark married Peta Todd, and has since had three children with Peta. Cav is well known as a family man and when not on the bike spends most of his time with Delilah, Frey and Casper he said in an interview with Goodtoknow.
#6 2016 Tour Win
2016 saw him win the most recent of his 30 Tour de France stages, in total his 48th Grand Tour stage victory, bettered only by Eddy Merckx and Mario Cipollini.
